I have been working as Professor of English language education at my current post since 2010. I have an MA from the University of Minnesota, and a Ph.D. in Educational Sociology from Nagoya University. My main research area is international education which includes student mobility (incoming and outgoing); intercultural education and communication, as well as the internationalization of higher education. I have spent over 30 years studying, working and living in Asia, and am deeply interested in meeting new diverse people and exploring different cultures.
