  • Profile

    I am interested in youth sports in depopulated regions and conduct research using qualitative methods.
    My fieldwork has been based in Hokkaido, the northernmost prefecture of Japan.
    In recent years, I have focused on the issues of mobilizing university students as coaches and the challenges associated with the mandatory licensing system for coaching.
    I also have a strong interest in football as a sport itself, and I am conducting my research while pursuing a coaching license.
